Chelsea Somerville: Blonde Expert
Chelsea is a Colorado native and studied at the Aveda Institute in Denver. She has been in the industry for over 10 years. Since the age of 13, Chelsea has been experimenting with her own hair. Adding all kinds of colors and hair styles even without the approval of her parents, this lead to her desire for a career with hair. She enjoys the challenges her clients bring her, from experimenting with a range of natural tones to updo’s . Her ever changing style and unique eye you will be happy you sat in Chelsea’s chair.
Peggy Turnbow: Master Stylist

Peggy strives to listen and communicate with her clients in order to give them the best service she knows how. She has thoroughly loved working at Avalon for the past 20 years, enjoying her co-workers and clientèle. She believes making someone feel better about how they look can change someone’s day for the better. She has been in the industry for over 30 years, working with many different professional lines but exclusively with Aveda for 25 years. She has had a wide array of continuing education but mostly in cutting and coloring. Working with Aveda and Avalon, she has had the opportunity to travel to Minneapolis, New York, Las Vegas and California to work with their professional talent. She believes it has been a rewarding opportunity to have had these experiences and meet such talented people.
Stefanie Romero: Master Stylist

Stefanie has been working at Avalon since 2006. She enjoys making people feel beautiful and happy. She graduated from the Aveda Institute and did her apprenticeship here at Avalon Salon. She loves working out and being outside hiking, running and swimming.

Natalie joined the Avalon Salon family in 2020, when she made her move here from Illinois.
Kate Neufeld: Massage Therapist
Kate has been a massage therapist for over 25 years. She originally graduated from IPSB in San Diego, CA and in 2018 she went through another program at East-West Healing Arts in Madison, WI to learn Asian modalities and philosophies. She can give a great relaxation Swedish massage, but especially loves to deliver therapeutic deep work to the neck, shoulders and back areas. Her massages are a fusion of all that she has learned over the years and feels that we are all unique human beings, and no massage is a one size fits all. She loves what she does and considers it more of a calling than a job.
Milo Shattell: Massage Therapist
Milo graduated from Denver Integrative Massage School in 2019, where he learned a wide array of techniques that he integrates into his practice. He believes that the mind and body are deeply connected, and that regular bodywork is the key to better mental and physical health. Milo is devoted to working with his clients to ease pain, discomfort, and stress while also helping them to prevent these triggers in the future.

Jasmine started with Aveda in 2010 and attended the Aveda Institute Denver. She is fully trained and knowledgeable of the Aveda lifestyle and mission, as well as the products offered. Overall she enjoys working in the beauty industry. At Avalon, she loves the fun but also relaxing environment to work in. She specializes in waxing but thinks her facial services are the best you will ever have! Her goal is to keep her clients appeased and satisfied with any and all of their services.

Rayna DeHerrera: Esthetician
Rayna is a Colorado native who loves skin care and beauty. Rayna has been doing esthetics at Avalon since 2018 and is continuously expanding what services she offers. She is also more than willing to help you find products that fit your skincare needs.

Christie Sloan: Massage Therapist

A visionary healer with a servant’s heart, Christie’s personal mission is to love-on, uplift, and inspire humanity. In childhood, her inherent sensitivity and compassion for others combined with an affinity for touch yielded a lifelong desire to offer solace and transformational healing.
In 2001 she received her Massage degree from the Colorado School of Healing Arts and later received her associates degree with a focus in Lymphatic Drainage and Craniosacral Therapy. She has also aquired special training through the Arvigo Institute in Mayan Abdominal Massage. An avid student for life, she is continually expanding her healers toolbox.
Her belief is that “wellness lies in wholeness,” and thus addresses all levels of one’s being: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and energetic. Her devotion is to offer client-centered therapy and to lovingly assist in each individual’s path to wellness, wholeness, and reintergration.
Offering a wide variety of styles, techniques, and pressures, her practice ranges from the most etheric level (energy work) to the most physical (deep tissue).
